RENEW VENTURE CAPITAL LAUNCHES TO INVEST EARLY STAGE CAPITAL IN SCALABLE IMPACT COMPANIES AND IN WOMEN AND HISTORICALLY EXCLUDED FOUNDERS

ATLANTA – February 22, 2022 – Renew Venture Capital ( “Renew VC” or “Renew”)  announces the launch of Renew VC Impact Fund LP (“The Fund”). The Fund invests in profitable, scaled Impact companies, and backs founders who have been shut out of venture funding because of what they look like and not what they are building.

Today’s founders no longer believe that for-profit companies should only care about money. The mission of Renew VC is to solve society’s biggest challenges by purposely renewing how it builds, scales, and invests in companies, and to remove barriers to capital by partnering with bold, diverse founders generating impact at scale.

The Fund is focused on two central investment theses. (1) Companies generating impact at scale represent one of the biggest investment opportunities in all of venture capital. (2) Overlooking companies led by women and historically excluded founders is VC's biggest recurring investment error.

Impact founders work to achieve scale while remaining committed to producing good in the world and the best employees want mission to be integral to their careers (while only 15% find it in their day-to-day work). These companies have few ideal investment partners. At the same time, women and historically excluded founders receive just 1-3% of all venture funding despite having unique insights into opportunities and markets unseen by others.
